Christmas Message
Brian is still working for Protection One. He is a salesman, and there are some good months and some not-so-good months. He enjoys his job for the most part and it gives us the flexability that we need, so, no complaints here. He is serving in the Young Men's and is over the teachers class. He was assigned a high school final game this year at the University of Utah which he was very excited about. Right now he is working with the arena football league. He doesn't particularly enjoy the drives home at 12:00 am from the Olympic Oval in the snow.
Brooklyn has transitioned really well into being a "big sister". She is dealing well with Brison and has only konked him in the head once! It was a bad one. She has seen just about every Disney cartoon out there over 100 times (maternity leave) and has almost every song memorized and can ask for it by "dopey song" (Heigh-ho) and "mulan" (I'll make a man out of you). Snow White is her favorite right now....it could be Cinderella tomorrow..who knows with her. We are going to go to Disneyland in March and I can't wait for her to meet all the princesses. She loves getting her fingernails and toenails painted (thanks to allie and ash) and at the same time will not hesitate jumping off the counter onto the love sac, or her dad, whichever is in her way at the time.
Brison is too little to really know what he is interested in, other than his mom and dad. He has the biggest grins and is starting to really coo. It's really, really cute. He has been a wonderful addition to our family and we all love him very much and don't know what we would do without him.
As for me, I am still working away in my lovely cubicle at America First. I started back after having 10 weeks off and it was a little hard leaving the kids, but kind of refreshing at the same time. I am still enjoying my hobbies selling Scentsy candles and scrapbooking (or trying to keep up).
We are very greatful for our families and the time we get to spend with them and all the things that they do for us. We don't know what we would do without them!
We hope that all of you have a safe and happy holiday season! We love all of you and hope that you all can enjoy the peace and love that usually abounds during this season.

More pages...

I am really working hard to keep up, and catch up with these scrapbooks. I can't believe how easy it is to do it digitally. You don't have a mess to clean up! It's awesome. I also don't have to go to the store and get the pictures printed and then wait an hour for them to be done. AND I can do it in my pajamas!More pictures...really?
This outfit was given to me by my OB/GYN nurse Darla. I love her! She is the nicest lady ever and I really enjoyed going to the doctor every week because I was able to see her and my doctor, Dr. Seale. He is the best doctor ever!Halloween, Football and Blessings!
The whole family was able to go and it was really fun. Brison was really good, he slept the whole time, almost, and Brooklyn just kept saying, "Daddy's football game! Daddy's running! That's my Daddy!" The other officials that were there watching the game were really smitten with her...I think she made out with about $3.00 in change. Most of them were grandpa's! She knows how to work the crowd....
Right before they went out onto the field, the Layton team came out of their locker room. Brooklyn was just in awe at them and kept saying "football players!" She is going to be the little girl from "Remember the Titans" except she won't be the coaches daughter, she'll know all the rules of the game while wearing her striped shirt!

Last but certinaly not least, we had Brison's blessing on the 11th of November. It was a very small, special time at mom and dad's house. Brian's family was there and my family and then our second family, the Martin's, came from Arizona. It was a very special time and I was proud of Brian and the good job he did. I am so greatful for eternal families! I am at peace knowing that I will be with these special spirits for eternity!

Copyright? You bet!

I went to walmart today to get some pictures developed. They asked me if I had a copyright permission slip to get these pictures developed. I had to inform them that unfortunately I didn't, because I was the one who took them. In Brison's room at 11:00 in the morning with a sheet of black material I purchased in the walmart fabric department, using my mom's camera. I would normaly be mad if I was hasseled in such a way, but in this case, I was actually complimented! I was setting up my little "photo shop" to take Brison's baby announcement pictures / 2 week old pictures and Brooklyn was wanting to be involved. She was still in her pajamas, had breakfast of eggs and ketsup on her face, and I hadn't even combed her hair! (Nobody look back at the time these pictures were taken, or if you do, please note the age of Brison.) Thanks to the magic of photo shop, you can't even tell. I am really happy with these pictures however, and am amazed at myself.

Another one on the way!
I completed my first scrapbook page today....it's the first one I have done. I hope they will get better as I go. I am happy with it, especially since it is my first!

Our Family
Our family survived Christmas with way, way, WAY too many gifts for Brooklyn.
She is one spoiled child, but she's adorable none the less.
We rung in the new year by going to bed at 11:30. Never been too big of a fan of New Years Eve. What are you supposed to do that night anyway?
We safely traveled to Arizona and back...13 1/2 hours down and 12 1/2 hours back. Brooklyn did relatively well considering...
It was a fun time had by all spent with the Martin family. Warm (some might say, others might stay still a little cold) weather, a trip to the zoo and a baby blessing topped off the extended weekend! Let's not forget the memorable trips to IN-N-OUT with their fabulous double double, and perhaps another cheeseburger. Thanks to Tonnie (spelled right?) for letting us stay at her lovely home. The only fee was putting together her barbacue grill!
