SWIMMING

We went swimming at the Clearfield Aquatic Center on Monday, Feb 25th. It was Brison's first time in the water and he really did good. I dunked him a couple of times, in the hopes that he would be more comfortable as time goes on with the water. We'll see if it worked or if he is tramatized!!! Hopefully not the later. Brooklyn loved the water last year and loved her swimming lessons. This was the first time at the pool since last summer. She quickly ran towards the slide and went down and apparently, in a moment of panic, forgot EVERYTHING she had learned (she is only 2 1/2 years old) and forgot to hold her breath and put her feet under her and she went under and panicked. Brian was there quickly to rescue her and she wasn't wanting anything to do with the slide. Being the mean mom that I am, I made her go down again. She did the same thing. So, again, being mean, I put her down a third time. Brian caught her this time and she didn't want to go anymore. I became nice and didn't force her again. She played around a little bit and then before you knew it, she was going back down the slide. I am pretty positive it was because of my tough love. It was a very fun time, and hopefully was can do it again, as I am LONGING for the warm weather!

5 weeks of sickness and a new milestone!

So, I understand that I just may be in trouble with a couple of people. Perhaps none of you realize that we have had 5 straight weeks of being sick. Throwing up, flu, influenza, pink eye, ear infection, bronchitias (sp? boy, my doctor friends will be so proud of me!) cold, allergic reaction to nuts, and a tragic fall out of a shopping cart. I really don't think that anybody could make this up! It has been a wonderful year here at the Davies home! So, please accept my apologizes. However, I do have some pictures!

This is what Brison looks like after he rolls over! Yes, it's true! He has started rolling over. At the time he did this he was only 3 1/2 months old. I think we are in trouble. He is getting so big. I took him in to the doctor for his 4 month check up and he was 17 lbs 1 oz and 26 3/4 inches long. I took him in 2 weeks later because he was coughing and I wanted to make sure that he wasn't getting RSV or anything like that. He weighted 18 lbs! and I had the nurse measure his length again, because the prior one just didn't sound right....I was thinking it was a little long. Well, she measured him at 27 1/2 inches! OOPS. I guess I was really way off. He loves being on his stomach more and more and he is starting to scoot. Just adorable!

He really has the cuttest smile around! I make it my goal every day to make sure he smiles at me. If we are lucky enough to get a giggle or even a laugh, it makes my day! Isn't he cute! This was taken on Feb. 7th. The day after we had found out he had an ear infection and a fever and probably got the flu from me! (isn't that lovely, mother of the year!) He was so congested and was not eating very good...I was just glad that he could fall asleep. Precious moment!

Brooklyn has slowly become addicted to Disney movies. It could be partially my fault, because I buy the movies and let her watch them....but who's to say exactly. She watches them over, and over, and over. Her current favorite is "Buggy" which is Bug's Life. She watched it twice today. She has pretty much seen all of them. In a couple of ways it is good, because we are going to "Dismeewand" in march and I want her to know all of the characters so that she will be excited about seeing them. Heck, I want to know all the characters so I can be excited about seeing them. She has Mickey and Minnie dolls that she loves to play with, and she carries them all through the house. It is pretty cute.

Now, I do need to warn you. This next picture is not pretty. If you have a weak stomach, you may not want to go any futher. Brian received this hat for Christmas from his Grandma J. She got it for him to remind him of his "hattie" that he had as a little boy that was like his "blankie". It was early in the morning and we were enjoying a wonderful breakfast when we discovered this. We weren't quite sure what to think, and Brian just had a "gay o'l time" with it.

Please, wipe the tears of laughter away and don't tell him this picture is on here! HEHE.

We finished our basement! What a relief to have that done. It is really nice, and cold!. But, it gives us the extra room in our home that we have needed. We might just stay here for another little bit!

I have had a chance to do a couple of pages also, but i'll just post one for now, because i'm not sure I like the other one i've done.

If you couldn't tell, I really liked these pictures of Brison.

And, for those of you who have asked me questions about digital scrapbooking....I use Adobe Photoshop Elements 5.0. It is a program that I purchased at Best Buy and have taken classes through the school district to learn how to use. There are other programs out there that you can get on the internet for free and are easier to use. It just depends on how "into" it you want to get. I love this program and have a couple of web sites that I buy my paper from that I enjoy. Let me know if you have any other questions.

Thanks for being understand...or at least I hope you feel bad for giving me such a hard time, thinking i've been lazy. I've been busy with the Lysol disinfectant!
