First Hair cut and a new toy!

So, I did it. Or, I mean, Allison did it. We shaved his head! It has been uneven, and thinning on top and crazy for a while. Plus, his scalp is sooooo dry, I thought this might help clear it up.

Before....we put him in the exersaucer and put the cape around him.He was a little upset being in the exersaucer and getting his head shaved. He did better once he was held.
Allison doing a couple of touch-ups.

He is a handsome little guy. Maybe now his head will clear up because the lotion actually will touch his scalp.

Also, I wanted to get a new toy or something for Brooklyn and Gavin and Lauren to play with during the summer. Brett and Gretchen got a swingset..and I wanted to get something different for the kids to do. Besides, I don't know that Brian would let me put a swingset on his lawn. So, at the advice of my friend Pam, I decided to get these tunnel and tent thingies. So far, Brooklyn and Brison have enjoyed crawling through them. We have Gavin over at the house today and these two are just funny together (unless they are fighting, which is what they are doing right now.)

Even Brison gets in on the action!!
We'll have to see how long this lasts....so far....so good.

as I hear crying and screaming in the distance.......

Oh, and I did some more pages.

I discovered the wonderful new world of templates. It has made it so easy for me to catch up on scrapbooking. You just open the template, choose paper, and pictures, and print! It is awesome. I did 4 pages in one night! LOVE IT! Here they are!

Tagged.....

So, Renee tagged me. The original tag was about a book, and let's be honest. I don't read.
So, I decided I would do the other tag.
What was I doing 10 years ago.
5 things on my to do list
3 bad habits
Places I've lived
What would I do if I became a millionaire
Job's I've had
Things you may not know about me

10 years ago....1998. I was working at America First Credit Union (still am) I was in the Central Loans department (ironically, that's where I am now!) I was hanging out with my friend Tracy. I was single. I was living at home. I was going to the movies a lot and spending lots and lots of money. (I didn't make that much)

5 things to do:
1. Clean the house...I always have to clean the house.
2. Pack the bags for the Blaze game tomorrow night.
3. Get caught up on Brison's weekly book....
4. Get caught up on scrapbooking period.
5. Get more organized in my scrapbooking

3 bad habits:
1. Thinking things in my head and thinking i've had a conversation about it with Brian and really not talking to him at all.
2. OCD....I need to mellow out!
3. Loosing my temper easily with my daughter.

Places i've lived....oh dear. hold on!
Ogden, Clinton, Clearfield, Clinton. Then when I was 18, I moved to Sunset, got married and moved to Clearfield in 2 different apartments, then back home (divorce). Lived in the house I grew up in and then the whole family moved to another home in Clinton...just down the road. Then I moved into my Grandma Steiner's house while she was living in the assisted living home. Then to Bountiful in a condo with my friends Liz, Alicia and Monica. Then I got married (again!) and lived in a little house in Murray, then we moved to a very scarry apartment in Salt Lake on 33rd So. and 1300 East. Then in the home where I live now, in Clinton.

Millionaire!
I would go on a very long trip....probably to Disneyworld and then the Disney Cruise with my family, quit my job, get a new house with a custom built scrapbooking room...then save the rest.

Jobs:
My first job I made out checks for my dad's masonry company. I thought it was fun playing with money. I was probably 14.
Checker at Winegars in Sunset.
Hamburger cook at Feziwigg's in Clearfield...no longer there.
Meat wrapper at Winegars in Sunset.
America First Credit Union....15 years.
I have been a teller, a records officer, a loan typist, a receptionist/new accounts girls, loan interviewer, loan officer, then assistant manager until I became a mom, now I still work, but i'm a mom.

Things you may not know about me:
I don't know that I want to tell. If you don't know, there's a reason for it.
I like to sew, quilt, but I don't have any time to with all my other hobbies. I collect things that I know I will probably never use...and I hate clutter. I really do love my husband. I am shy when I get in a situation that I don't know anybody. I have to have all the light switches going in the same direction and if one is off, I have to find which one is setting it off and fix all of them. I love popcorn with cheese on it. (MMMM good, try it sometime!) I, like Pam, love to cook and wish I was Rachel Ray. I even bought a knife and try to cut like a chef. I would love to go to cooking school. My uncle is a chef, or used to be, and I wish I could learn some things from him, but he lives in Washington. I cut off the tip of a neighbors thumb when I was 11 with a log splitter. I hit my sister in the jaw on the up swing of a golf swing. I should probably stop, because all the bad things are starting to come out.

I don't know that many people that blog, so I tag Julie, Jill, Candice, Alicia and any other cousin that reads this that I don't know about.

The slither monster!

This is the slithering position.
This is the crawling position with a sly look on his face. For some reason, he gets really, really upset when he is in the crawling position. It's almost like he doesn't know what to do and is EXTREMLY frustrated. The second you pick him up, he stops crying and is happy.

Yes, Brison has started to cra....slither. He can get on his hands and knees, but he prefers the army crawl. He told me that. He has gotten the nickname "Grumpy Gus" or "Gus" for short. He loves his new found freedom and being able to move, but it has made him extremly overstimulated and he will no longer calm down. Arrgh! It's a frustrating time, but I hope we will get through it somehow. Right now, he has been down for about an hour and I am enjoying every moment I have to get things done.

Brooklyn on the other hand....she is just starting to do so many new things and it's amazing how fast she will pick up on things. She is addicted to Disneyland. She thinks we are going there every day. I don't think she realizes that it is really far away and really expensive. I would, however, love to live there myself. The other day she had made an absolute mess in the bathroom (my fault for leaving her unattended) She had pulled the towel off the rack and put it in the tub and had water all over the floor. I had had it with her and lost it and yelled. (I am a horrible, horrible person. I know I am not perfect.) She got the poutie look on her face, looked down, and started singing "Look at me, I will never pass for a perfect bride, or a perfect daughter." It is from Mulan. When the song would play on the movie, Brooklyn would always ask me what was wrong and I would tell her that Mulan was sad. As I look back, it was the funniest thing, but I couldn't enjoy it at the time because I was so mad. I got her out of the tub and put her straight to bed and she even told me she had to say prayers and that didn't even make me crack. Which, when I look back on that, it was an adorable moment also. But, hey, when you have a son that won't let you put him down and is screaming all the time....you'd crack too!
This is our little princess. I put the crown on her to see how adorable it would be. I told her today she was a princess, and she said "No, i'm Brooklyn." I said o.k.
