Of course I took more pictures than that!

I have had some comments from people that they can't believe I only posted those 2 pictures.
Relax people...I just haven't had time to do a collage...I'm sure you don't want to do the eternal scroll to view all my pictures! Well, the waiting is over...and I have some more pictures to post.
I labeled these ones so that I could explain what the picture is and why...so, here it goes!
1. Just a really awesome picture. I was proud of myself and the way the shot turned out.
This of course is the new ferris wheel that they have remodeled. I don't really care for the big Mickey in the center, but apparently it needs to be there for the new water show? That's what I heard anyway.
2. I LOVED this ride. They changed it for Halloween and it was SO busy when we were there. The wait was almost always 85 minutes when we went by...and we never rode it without a fast pass...except for the magic morning when we got into the park at 7:00 am and we were # 18 & 19 in line and was the 2nd car out for the day! That was AWESOME! With the changes to the ride, it made it seem like a totally different ride. Space Mountain...Ghost Galaxy.
(notice Allison and Ashley aren't in the picture...yeah, there were back at the hotel...asleep)
Me and Mom are DIEHARDS!
3. How do you fit 4 adults on the teacups? You don't! But we sure did. We just couldn't move!
4. I really, really HATE when I take these kind of pictures and look all STUPID! I just don't know how to hold my head and hold the camera, and smile, and push the button all at the same time.
5. PROOF that I kicked Allison's BUTT on Toy Story Mania. That ride is AWESOME! When we got on for this *turn*, I just felt ON and was SO proud of myself and my aiming ability!
6. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this ride! It is my FAVORITE! And if any of you know me, and know my absolute BIGGEST pet peeve...(getting wet while wearing clothes!), you will be surprised.
I was in the FRONT seat for this time on the ride...and surprisingly enough, I didn't get wet on the BIG DROP... it was the part when Brer Bear says....There's nothing down here but BEEEEEEES! Love it!
7. I laugh because when I asked the worker to take this picture, she said..."of ALL of you?" She doubted my camera! Ha!

These are just some other fun pictures of us on our trip. We really had a good time. We rode all the rides we wanted to. We bought more hoodies than we can wear in a week, we relaxed, we used more hand sanitizer than I have EVER used in my life, we ate GOOD, kept our hands clean with wipes (haha) and had more laughs than ever. So glad we went!

Next time, we will have to talk our sister-in-laws in to going with us!
So, Gretchen, get your back better, and Jennie...have that baby already!
It definately was a good time. Nothing like a girls WEEKEND out!

With or without you...

Disneyland.
We ALL know I love this place.
I have been going since 1991.
My first trip was with my high school orchestra.
I went back with my family in 1992.
I have been to Disney World 3 times.
And Disneyland 8 times.
I LOVE IT.
I loved going before I had kids.
Now that I have kids, I have seen it in a different way.
I have experienced everything in a different way.
I honestly don't know if I like it better with kids or without.
With kids ....... Without kids
Standing in line is a struggle ....... You can stand in line without kids yanking on your arm
You see everything through their eyes ......... The magic is still there
There is a bedtime ......... Staying up as late as you want
Buying souvenirs .......... Buying souvenirs
Tantrums ............... Freedom
Stroller ................. Purse
Naptime ................... No time to nap!
Being able to take a picture with the character ........ Looking silly taking a picture with a character...all alone!
Ready to come home ........ Ready to come home
I had a wonderful time, enjoyed the company
believe it or not, there was no fighting!
There was a lot of teasing of my mom...thanks for being a good sport.

Getting ready to go

Why is it that I tell my husband that I'm going to bed, yet sit down and get on the computer?
I have to be up in 6 hours to get ready and finish packing.
I am leaving for a 3 day weekend, GNO if you will, to Disneyland...NO KIDS.
This will be the first time that I have been away from them for this long.
I am excited, yet a little sad. I was reading them stories tonight and just kept thinking
"what if I don't come back...this will be the last book I read to them"
I know, I am mental, and I need therapy, but I do think about those things...
I think we all do, but maybe just don't admit it?
I told Brooklyn that I was going with Grandma and Alli and Ash
and she cried and exclaimed "I want to go too!"
I told her she couldn't, but used the good stand-by...if you are good, I'll bring you a surprise!
That perked her right up.
I kinda wish she was coming.
But then I couldn't leave Gus too...
Then Brian would have to come as well...
then it wouldn't be much of a GNO, would it?
Why do we as mom's feel guilty leaving our kids?
They will be fine, they are in good hands, everybody tells me not to feel guilty,
that i'll be a better mom when I get back.
I FEEL GUILTY.
Oh well, nothing much I can do now.
And, with the puking that was going on tonight from crying too hard...
the guilt level has come down a bit.
I went with my sister-in-laws to do pictures with all the cousins in hallowee costumes,
and to try again with Gavin, Lauren and Levi.
The kids were so dang cute!
Here are my little stinkers in their halloween costumes.

And this is the cutest little munchkin I have EVER seen!
Not that she's a muchkin for halloween, just in real life.
For halloween, she is Ariel.

And also a little sneak peak for my sister-in-law Gretchen. I couldn't decide which one I liked better, looking or not, so I put them both on.

Brooklyn asked me tonight if Jesus was big or little.
I said big.
She asked where he lived.
I said heaven.
She asked where heaven was.
I told her I didn't know.
She asked if it was in Iowa.
I told her "maybe"
Now, I am really off to bed.
As soon as I decide which movie to get from itunes and get it downloaded...
really, why do I wait for the last minute?
UGH!

Sorry

It's been a week, and I am sorry for not updating sooner.
I guess since I am kinda looking at this blog as my journal,
it come with the territory...right?
I have been busy lately...
I started a new blog,
trying to make some extra money
and POSSIBLY enough to quit my job...
(that won't be for a while)
but that has been taking ALL of my free time.
It's this and it's been fun...
and surprisingly not TOO fattening.
I haven't had time to eat!
I have been trying to pass out goodies
to my friends, neighbors, and coworkers...
getting them fatten up instead!
I am staying up really MUCH past my bedtime.
I need to stop and slow down, because
my kids are growing up before my eyes!
Brooklyn won't stop telling me that she "knows everything"
and Brison is attempting to poop on the potty,
but only when we ask him if he needs to go.
He is only 2...so it'll be a while, but hey, any motivation is good right?
Brian is busy with football, the season is actually almost over..
well, kinda.
It actually NEVER ENDS!
Here come the holidays
and I am SO not ready!
Are you?

6 years

I really can't believe that I have been married for 6 years.
AND
that I have 2 kids
AND
that they are 4 years and 2 years old.
Most of all, I can't believe that i've been married for 6 years!
I really only seems like 2, yet it seems like i've been married forever, and that there wasn't a time that I didn't know Brian.
We had tried a couple of times to plan to go out for our anniversary, but, as it so happens....
we got married during football season.

Not that there's anything wrong with that,
but it just makes it really inconvenient if we ever want to go out and do something.
So, what I think we will start doing,
is celebrating a "SEMI-ANNUAL ANNIVERSARY"
where we celebrate in March...
it's easier to schedule around football in March
and yes, there is football in March.

There is football EVERY month.

We were able to "steal" away and hit a movie AND dinner!
The movie was horrible, so stupid and slow,
I won't even bore you with the name....
but dinner was AWESOME!
Three words...

The Sonora Grill

We told them it was our anniversary and they gave us a free dessert!
Brian said we should tell them it's our anniversary more often.
I laughed!

I really am happy with my life and the decision that I made to marry Brian.
We aren't the same people that we were when we got married,
but luckily for us,
we grew together, rather than apart.
I think that is the most important thing in a marriage.
We somehow make it work...

Thanks Ashley...for watching the kids for us!
