Things that happened...post 2

Sad to say, but we got this gingerbread house kit last year from our
"secret santa"
The kids were too little I thought to do it last year, but I held on to it!
****I'm a packrat...have I mentioned that?
Anyway, I'm glad that we did, because they had a TON of fun putting it together.
Well, at least Brooklyn had fun..
I think.
She would decorate it, and as fast as the candy went on, Brison took it off.
Until Brooklyn realized that she could eat it too.
And me and my weirdness about my kids eating too much candy...
I called it good after a half decorated house and a half decorated tree.
I am good at photography...so I hid the half NOT decorated!
They enjoyed it...so I just need to remember to relax and breathe and let
the kids be kids!

Things that happened this month while I didn't blog!

So...apparently I took off TOO much time!
There has been much going on here at the Davies home.
I'll be taking the next couple of posts to catch everybody up!
Brooklyn had her first EVER dance recital!
She was SO cute!
She was sick the week before and only had that day to catch up
and remember all the MOVES.
But, I think she did a really good job!

It is so cute! I was really proud of her...she dances just like her mom!

Merry Christmas

Happy Holidays Everybody!
Just wanted to take a *post* to catch everybody up with us!
The year started out with Brian starting a new job.
He started working for Stanley Security Systems.
It has turned out to be a great job for him and he is really doing well.
He is STILL officiating and loving it.
Football NEVER ends for us. It is year round,
with maybe a full month off in July.
It is good. He enjoys it.
We celebrated our 6 year anniversary this year.
We are still going strong.
Brooklyn.
Where to start.
She is getting so BIG and so CUTE!
and such an ATTITUDE!
She started preschool this year..and is also taking dance.
It is fun to watch her learn and grow.
She just recently had her primary program and ROCKED her sentence!
"My dad works hard so I can have food and clothes."
She had it memorized after I read it to her 4 times!
She loves to be outside and ride her bike
and play with her cousins and friends!

Brison.
My son.
He is the CUTEST little boy...
and has slowly developed an attitude as the year has gone by.
He is growing and getting to be my little buddy.
He will come and take my hand and lead me to what he wants.
CUTE.
He also give me the cutest kisses any boy could ever give his mom.
CUTER.
He is still my baby...and I love any SECOND that he let's me just cuddle with him,
which, sadly, are not too often.
He is still my little Gus!
Me.
Ah yes, me.
I still work at America First Credit Union.
I still love my job.
I did take on some new hobbies...
like I don't have ENOUGH to do already!
I started taking some pictures.
and I started a new blog.
In case any of you didn't know...
I decided I really wanted to do something with cooking.
Because I do enjoy cooking.
So, if you are in need of a dessert recipe...
keep me in mind!
OR
if you have a dessert recipe you just LOVE..
let me know what it is and I'll get it posted!
I have a WONDERFUL husband and
WONDERFUL kids.
I really am happy with my life!
Yes, it wouldn't be a year in the Davies family if there wasn't a trip to
DISNEYLAND!
We went this last year in April.
It was AWESOME.
Brooklyn was tall enough to be able to ride all the rides (almost)
and she had a blast.
It was fun to go on the rides with her and see how she enjoyed them.
She mostly rode them with her fingers in her ears.
Brison was big enough to ride the Matterhorn as well.
He LOVED it, even though he was measured EVERY time we go on!
So, all in all,
things are good at the Davies home.
We wish all of our friends and family a
Merry Christmas
and a GREAT New Year!
