Rivalry...continued

Can I just say, I really, really hate close games.
I felt like I was going to throw up!

But, luckily, in the end, we won.
Phew!

Rivalry

So, here's the thing...
we have these neighbors
*everybody does*
you know,
the ones that have a difference of opinion.
Well, it just so happens that we LOVE these neighbors.
And we try not to let their difference of opinion stand inbetween that.
So, we just shower them with love, and sprinkle their lawn with fertalizer.
You all remember this, don't you?

Well, I know that was last year,
and this and this was last year too.
But, this is a new year,
and a new season.
and a new team.
So, Thanksgiving morning, we woke up to this:
and this

with this much detail!

No matter how much red is in our yard right now...
This is what matters!

GO COUGARS!
Don't let me down!

Thanksgiving

I just wanted to take a second to write down a few thoughts.
On this day, the ONLY day during the year that we can BE thankful,
I have a lot to be thankful for.
I am THANKFUL for my family.
I am THANKFUL for a husband that loves me, and puts up with me.
My kids that love me, even when they are in trouble.
They teach me every day and I love watching them grow.
I am THANKFUL for my parents, and my in-laws.
They do so much for me and my family, and I probably don't tell them
Thank You
enough.
I am THANKFUL for all the rest of my family.
I am THANKFUL for my job, and for the income it provides.
I am THANKFUL for my husband's job as well...for the same reason!
I am THANKFUL for our health.
When you know others, or stumble across other's blog's that tell of
health woes or an unexpected death, it saddens me
but makes me pause to think, and be greatful for what I have.
I am THANKFUL for the country that I live in, and the freedoms that I enjoy.
I am THANKFUL for my religion.
I am THANKFUL for my prophet, and for the guidance I receive from him.
I am THANKFUL for Disneyland.
It's true.....I am.

I hope you all have had a wonderful day.
Take a moment, if you haven't already,
to be THANKFUL for what you have.
Make the best of it!

Stripes

I just love football.
I always have.
It's something that I grew up with...my dad watching BYU football.
I went to the games when I was in high school.
I LOVE going to BYU football games.
My favorite is when you get the fly-by from the Air Force...
and also the HAKA...(if that's how you spell it?)
The thing that I don't really enjoy, is when you have the really obnoxious fans
that sit and yell at the officials.
I don't think it's obnoxious that they yell at the officials,
I think it's obnoxious that they yell, from row 29 in section XX, which is the top of the stadium.
Really, who can hear that?
And actually, I do think it's obnoxious, that they yell at the officials.
"Call it both ways, ref"
"Hey, stripes, can't you see that?!?"
"Are you kidding me?!"
Those are the best.
My husband is a football official.
He studies the rules, knows them in and out.
We watch football games and he tells me the penalites before they announce what they are.
He's good at what he does.
He was 2nd in the state in his position.
Because of that, he got to officiate at the High School state finals.
He was on the Timpview vs. Springville game.
I was able to go and watch....and hang out with the other officials.
Which you don't see many wives doing...
But it was fun, and I enjoyed it.
I support my husband and his officiating dreams...
because it is something he enjoys doing.
And also, he brings home some good moola!

Good job honey!

Yes, it was at the University of Utah.
And that will be the ONLY time you will ever catch me there...
EVER!

Here's the thing

I don't know why, but I feel like I can't make a post unless my pictures are in a collage.
Which, I know, doesn't make any sense. I just think that the collage makes good use of space.
I can fit a bunch of pictures in one picture.
But, when that happens...it REALLY makes me feel overwhelmed.
So, I have decided that if I have time to make a collage, I will.
If I don't, then you will just have to scroll through the pictures,
just like you probably do on EVERYBODY else's blog.
I don't know why I get these silly thoughts in my head.
It just makes me fall behind.
Which is really sad.
So, here is my attempt to get caught up.
Happy Halloween.
My little monsters. I just don't know what to do about the princess and the REALLY BAD SMILES!
My son and his IDOL! He LOVES his cousin Gavin. It's really cute.
(notice the sucker)
Trying to get a picture of the princesses, and the PIRATE just HAD to be in it.
(still, notice the sucker)
The pirate. Notice the sucker, and no trick or treat bag.
Showing off his sucker.
Is that a sucker in your hand?

It was actually right after this picture that he handed me the sucker and I RAN to the nearest garbage can.
He was so stinkin' cute with this sucker, that I TOTALLY neglected taking pictures of Brooklyn! I kinda forgot that I had another child out there that was trick or treating. OOPS!
Ok, so I did get a few. This is all the kids on the porch.
This is a picture of the kids right after being SCARED OUT OF THEIR PANTS!
Hugh totally opened the door -fast- and screamed at them.
Don't worry, I went and beat him up after, and told him that
YOU DO NOT DO THAT TO LITTLE KIDS, ESPECIALLY MINE.
He asked for forgiveness. I thought about it.
Then forgave.
I just enjoy giving him a bad time!
But I guess I can't give him that bad of time, because this is the kids
SCARING THE CRAP OUT OF GRANDMA.
HAHA. I just love that I captured THIS picture.
It was a fun night.
The kids were high on sugar for about an hour.
I have learned one thing for next year.
NO popcorn balls.
They are way to messy!
There, now I feel better.
I'm all caught up.
But, let's be honest,
a collage would have been better than scrolling through all those pictures..
Right?
Oh well. I have to let things go.

A Busy Week...2 weeks ago.

So, I brought home some treats from Disneyland.
I wasn't able to take any pictures of the Chocolate Macaroons
(they didn't last that long)
But this apple...mmm
let me tell you about this apple.
It's dipped in Caramel
and then in DARK chocolate.
There are large marshmallows for the ears
and then it is rolled in red sugar
and has 2 jelly beans for the buttons.
DELICIOUS!
We enjoyed this little treat after I got home from work.
With football also falling in October, Brian was not going to be home on Halloween night.
The football schedule is changing towards the end of the season and he was home on Friday night
so we took the opportunity to carve the pumpkins that night.
When I say we, I mean Brian and the kids.
I absolutely HATE carving pumpkins.
I assumed the roll of photographer.
The kids had a blast and I think Brian did a good job
especially since he did it freehand.
