DISNEYLAND!

So, here is a run down of the pictures. We had over 1,000....so, I just picked a few. Not really!

Brooklyn was able to go on more rides this year. I think she liked them...maybe too LOUD?

The Gus meister...He was tall enough for Matterhorn! They checked his height every time! He LOVED being able to go on rides.

I tried to recreate a few pictures from the last time we went to maybe show the growth or difference in the kids...Brooklyn was not wanting to smile! Stinker. Grizzly Rapids...does not do ANY justice as to how WET we were!

California Screamin'...Brian's FAVORITE. The princess picture, it's after we got home, she put her dress on and went and showed Brian. He said "oh, look at the pretty princess" and she said "Do you want your picture taken with me?" I think she's going to work there?

The only character Brison was o.k. with...he even gave him "BONES"... too cool! We stood in line so the girls could see the princesses...they we being cute...for just a second though.

Proof that Ashley really was there. Brison "stretching his legs"..people thought he was so cute they would ask to take his picture. That's my boy! Waiting for splash mountain to open, per Brooklyn's request.

Heimleich's Chew Chew train....I LOVE that ride! Cute Gus! Brooklyn & Gavin...best buds!

She was just so excited to go on rides, it was fun watching her enthusiasm.

We were at the park WAY past closing due to some techincal difficulties (somebody puked in line) at Peter Pan...so we were one of the last ones out of the park...we took the photo op. Then the whole group (- Ashley because she left Wednesday night)
Proof Brooklyn did the TOWER OF TERROR...more than once..I think 5 times total!

Thunder Mountain Railroad...LOVED IT....and my favorite...Splash Mountain. Brooklyn got SOAKED!
It really was an enjoyable time. We have had so much fun each time we have gone, and when we get home, we can't wait to plan the next trip. However, it is so much more fun when the kids are big enough to go on more rides... does that mean we will wait and go when Brison is 40"...? Don't count on it! I want to go back now!
Just so you can see how hard Brian has been working...at not eating...
The first one was taken May 2008...the second one was April 2009. WOW!
Good Job!

Easter

So, we did the normal..'take pictures of the easter outfits' on sunday morning. It went pretty good, considering the fact that "NOBODY" tells Gus what to do, and that includes hold still for pictures.

Apparently Brooklyn had had enough after just a few shots....so, I took the clue and ended the photo session.

We really had an enjoyable day! I even tried to take the opportunity to try and teach Brooklyn the "TRUE" meaning of Easter with an Easter Egg lesson that my sister-in-law Gretchen found. It started well, until I asked her if she knew who Jesus was. She said yes..I told her He was her brother. A little confused...and then she asked if he died. I answered yes, to which she said...but I don't want him to be dead. I said, It's ok, he's not anymore!

Easter Eggs

So, this is the first time as a family that we have colored eggs together. I can't even tell you the last time I have even done this. Brooklyn and Brison had been outside playing with friends and cousing for a good 2 hours before they came inside to do this, and Brison was NOT a happy camper about having to come in. I decided not to let him anywhere near the dye, because when he doesn't get his way, he throws a fit and THROWS himself back, and I could just see the damage and mess that he would make! It was fun to see Brooklyn examining the eggs and waiting for the color to absorb. I just don't know what we will do with them now, because I can't see Brooklyn sinking her teeth into a hard boiled egg, I only like mine in salad, Brian can only eat one a day on his diet, and I don't think he'll want one hard boiled, and Brison is allergic so he will throw up EVERYWHERE! That's the reason I only made 6...we lost one during the transition from carton to dye. I think as the kids get older, it will be more fun to do things like this with them more often. I am kinda a slacker that way, I just think the kids are too little to understand, be patient, listen, or observe. Maybe I need to give them the benefit of the doubt. We had fun anyway!

Birthday Boy!

We celebrated Brian's birthday Saturday. After having a young women/young men activity at my house that morning, and once Brian was done with his football scrimage..we decided to go out and do something as a family. We went bowling. My mom and Allison came along as well. It was fun and the kids had a blast! Brison hated sharing or taking turns...and Brooklyn was just happy to be there and she wanted her own ball! It really is AMAZING how much the Wii takes your really good skills and turns them to crap!

HIGHEST SCORES EVER!!

Yes, it's blurry on purpose....love the action shots!

They would do this after Brooklyn would bowl...while they waited for the ball to get DOWN the lane and hit the pins. Yes, it took THAT long!
Gus was just excited to get to carry the ball!
