Race for the Cure

What a privledge I had attending this! My friend, neighbor, and young women's leader, pretty much all 6 years, was recently diagnosed with breast cancer. Almost all of my family was able to go and support her with this race. It was such a touching experience. I was standing at the start line and just FIGHTING back the tears as I looked around and on the backs of peoples shirts were pictures of people that they were there in memory of, or in support of. What a wonderful, eye opening experience. I hope to be able to go every year...because it was just such a good atmosphere. I felt so good, and didn't even struggle with the race part of it. AND, I had my best time to date. Just fun and neat to be at!

It is a great race! We did it in Boise and it is very emotional. Good job on your best time!

I didn't know you had gotten in to running! That is awesome - I've loved having that as an outlet. It's good for the soul! Looks like a fantastic race -
